i am chinese and looking for house too . but i am a guy ^_^/

i'll be a girl till i move in... ahahaha kidding >_<
simmon u perv ! *runs away

a lot of chinese guys here......where are the girls?????? only one?

I just PMed the OP. The count is two Chinese girls now, though I have a feeling there are more somewhere on the forums. XD

they just keep their heads low incase someone like simon shows up =D
isn't 600 like hella cheap? dorming costs like 13k a semester year thats about 1300 a month? wahahahaha craaaazy

Guardiangel.....we got rubbed by the Berkeley's housing?

If anyone can find a close, cheap place at Cal(preferably walking distance), i'll be more than willing to room up. Guys/girls/others, doesn't matter.

I think I've seen some pretty good deals on uloop. Heck, some are in the 500 range, though I think the majority of them are seeking male roommates. Might want to look into that. :D

(I am so tempted to work for uloop as an on campus rep. Too bad I'm not entirely sure what they do...)

"The majority are seeking male roommates(with a smiley)" threw me off. Do I have to mention that I love tacos?

commence staring I...don't know? Should I mention that I like burritos?

if you need someone to share off-campus apt with , hit me up plz
boy,girl, doesnt matter
as long as its a nice place (i mean safe, close to campus or bus or bart)

i'm also lookin for roommates.. i'm a 20 yr old female, white, clean, friendly.

Maybe chumphree, getridofcc, and I should all rent an apartment together. 8D (I haven't gotten a return PM from getridofcc, so maybe she has a roommate already...)

hee majority looking for male + a smilie kinda scares me
atleast i know hongda is straight. that makes the extra money all worth the while LOL

Not responding to the request -- good luck lining up roommates, though! -- but wanted to point out that the per person cost of renting an off-campus apartment depends on a lot of things.

The average 1 bedroom within 5 blocks of campus (either on the Telegraph side or the Shattuck side) runs between $950 and $1500. It can go up as high as $2295 if you look at the luxury buildings like Library Gardens or Gaia. 2 and 3 bedrooms get slightly more expensive, but they're also harder to find outside of the commercial buildings. 4 roommates could share a 2 bedroom apartment at a building like Library Gardens for about $700/mo (RENT ONLY), though. You just have to be cool with sharing rooms.

The following will quickly drive up the per person price: privacy (such as having your own room in the apartment); size; proximity to campus (this variable is almost perfectly proportionate); age of building; amenities.

I have a sizable 1+ across the street from west campus (Shattuck x Addison) that goes for $1425. If it were a couple blocks further down, it'd probably go for closer to $1250.

count me in! anvilfactory and getridofcc- do you guys have facebook and/or aim? add me. kaytayheyy = aim and I believe you can find me on facebook with that. =]

Hi, I am sorry that I left you guys these few days... kaak...
I am from Macau... where are u guys from?
also, I hv a question, will u guys pick the apt which requires immediate move in and just pay for the empty room for two months? I am hving a dilemma coz I am going back to Macau for summer vacation, but most of the lease right now is just for immediate move in. Do you think I shoud settle the problem of housing down before I go or I should wait till I am back?

I was dying without you, GetRidofCC! wipes tears away from eyes
I was born in the United States. Ah, yeah, I know what you mean. I've been looking around on uloop and facebook for housing options, and encountered the same dilemma. Heck, I'm in school until the end of June, so that just seems like a waste. When exactly are you coming back? :O (Personally, I want to settle the housing situation ASAP, but like you said about the leasing issues...)

Oh yeah, btw chumphree, I added you on facebook, but neglected to inform you in the message field. I GUESS I WAS TOO EXCITED?

i will be back in late July or early August definitely. I am wondering if I should go to Berkeley for some open houses today. But I have not made decision abt the problem of June and July.. Who can help me out??!
btw.. hv anyone of u found any place good to have a look already?
