looking for ideas for schools that match

looking at so many schools, they are all beginning to blend together. have read different books, checked websites, read thousands of posts on here ....have a pretty good starting list for son, but worried i am overlooking some great possibilities

criteria for us is..1. good merit aid (as we will not qualify for financial need), 2. in a city 3 good science programs especially chemistry 4. possibility for undergrad research. 5. known for good grad school/med school admission rates.

here are basic stats (these are current and could change ie if retakes tests, but assume this is what we are working with)
act 32
sat 2140
gpa unweighted 3.9 (all honors or ap)
strong ec's including officer positions in various clubs, sga, hoby etc
science olympiad
nhs, probably also french honors and math honor societies.
will graduate with distinctions in bio and chem (this means 3 extra credits in each beyond what is required to graduate)
just missed nat merit status...(ear infection and medication day of test...and probably didnt study as much as he should have)
should get good recommendations
hopefully will have a strong internship this summer..waiting for notification

we have our in state schools which have automatic scholarships for which he qualifies, and have put upitt, iu-bloomington, rhodes, hendrix, ut dallas on list so far. (and eliminated a bunch of others)

any ideas on others we should be looking into, thanks.

Look at Case Western Reserve.

thanks will do,
any others?

Also look at University of Rochester.

Wash U. in St.Louis…but shouldn’t your son be doing this? Let him have a say…

thanks and son is also doing his part. we both are looking for schools… unfortunately sometimes his list isnt matching the financial realities, ie he just got back from a vanderbilt visit! he really liked fordham and upenn and uchicago, all off the list now. the ones still on the list we both agreed on. I had tulane and sewanee on the list, but he didnt like those so they are off. (sewanee only because of location). but hadnt looked at u rochester or case.

I second Case Western. It seems to match your criteria very well.
