Anyone live in Georgia? Looking to get some advice on colleges that will accept a 3.3 junior student. Hoping she can take advantage of the HOPE scholarship She hasn’t taken the SAT yet, she plans to do that this summer. UGA is her dream school, but that def won’t happen.

If you search the school’s name and “common data set” you will find a link to the standard info they release. In that multi page document you will find details about grades and SAT scores of admitted applicants for each year.
Here are a couple of ideas:
Ga Southern- avg gpa 3.34
Kennesaw State- 3.32
Ga State- 3.34
So, there are plenty of good options. Also, if she does well at the above colleges it’s fairly easy to transfer into UGA.
There are several options in Georgia in addition to Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State & Georgia State.
Consider Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville if interested in Nursing, Business or Kinesiology & Exercise & Science, for example. Mercer University in Macon is another option. University of West Georgia in Carrolton.
Really depends upon what your daughter intends to study.
P.S. Berry College in Rome, Georgia is an interesting option.
As an adult a few years back (when we had a brief stint in Atlanta)I took a few classes at Kennesaw. I was impressed with the professors I had and enjoyed the campus.
