boysx3- The Dalai Lama’s relationship with Emory (my alma mater) provides wonderful opportunities for students who want to gain exposure to Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. I was able to go back to Atlanta to attend a lecture he gave, and it was amazing. But Emory probably isn’t the best place for someone already as dedicated to and knowledgeable about the field as the OP’s son. There’s no dedicated major, or very many advanced classes in Tibetan. Besides, the OP said that the financial aid wouldn’t work out for them.
