What are you looking for in a college (for example I want a small liberal arts college that has a strong science program)? That will help people find schools that you can get into and are a good fit.

University of Wisconsin
University of Illinois
University of Washington

I’m looking for mid-size to large schools. I would prefer to be in urban areas or suburban areas near large cities. I’m open to liberal art colleges, research universities, etc

As for barrk123, I’m oos and worry about the tuition prices since I want to keep loans to a minimum. How generous would their financial aid be?

I second barrk123’s propositions. university of minnesota-twin cities is much cheaper than most places for OOS also. plus, there’s no essay, so you don’t have as much work.

Pnc .

Good advice everyone! The suggestions have been extremely helpful so far.

Are there any private schools someone can suggest??

just a warning, privates usually cost a lot more than publics
anyways, i would suggest
Lewis and Clark in Portland, Oregon
Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota
University of Portland in Portland, Oregon

be careful with privates, though. U of P is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church, so if you’re not the religious type (like me), you might be better off avoiding it.

also, which state are you in? or are you international?

No, I’m not very religious. I’m in Maryland

is your state flagship good? because you could probably
- have a lower cost for attending, since you’re in state
- get a good financial aid package since you’re in state.

Yes, my state flagship is good and I am applying to it. I just wanted to have some solid ops options as well since I’m always looking for an opportunity to venture to new places haha
