Looking for matches and low reaches

3.41 WGPA
3.3ish UWGPA
2090 SAT

I’m looking for some more schools to apply to. I’d like maybe one safety for merit aid, matches, and maybe one low reach. My school is pretty good, so my 3.4 is worth a little more. To give you an idea, a 3.5 gets often can get you into BC/Wake. Also, I’d prefer to go south or to the west coast. Thanks
Thanks guys

What is your home state? What are you interested in studying?

From Connecticut. I’m torn between pre-med and finance, but will probably do pre-med. Also, tuition below 40k would be nice.

What about Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC? It’s a good LAC, and offers a major in finance as well as advising in pre-med: http://www.wofford.edu/

Ditto for College of Charleston, in Charleston, SC, which is a public liberal arts college: http://cofc.edu/.

Both have tuition <$40K.

For pre-med, this list isn’t bad for generating ideas: “The Experts’ Choice: Colleges with Great Pre-med Programs” (available online).

Elon, Rhodes

What can your parents afford to contribute? Have you visited any of these schools? Any of the schools in the University of Florida system require 2 summer sessions. Have you applied for the scholarships at UCONN? Not certain of the December deadline. Most of the schools on your list are large, have you considered any LAC’s?

^my dad is kind of nuts about money and will not tell me what we can afford. I’m trying to keep tuition around 30k or less though, which is why mainly state schools.
What is this about UF summer sessions? First I’ve heard of it @ECmotherx2

Cost of attendance for Wofford and College of Charleston is above 40,000. I think that OP may have missed deadline for merit at Wofford., not sure about CofC. But I agree @gandalf78 both are very good schools.

The requirement for at least 9 credits during 2 summer terms was instituted in part due to difficult in getting into courses.

Oh ok, so only once you’re enrolled. For a minute I thought you meant it was a prerequisite and I was about to freak out.

-Bob Jones University
-Hawaii Pacific University
-Lipscomb University
-Montana State
-Our Lady of Holy Cross College
-Rockhurst University
-Samford University
-Southeastern University
-University of Arkansas (I believe you can get a merit scholarship for your SATs)
-University of Louisville

There’s a few schools in Indiana that would be good matches, I’m not sure if you’d be interested in attending school there.

Might look at Holy Cross-great pre-med program.
