Well, please keep in touch, and I would love to host you for snacks and a beautiful sunset over Lake Travis one afternoon. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you once you arrive! Welcome to Texas and Hook 'em!

That sounds wonderful. Thank you.
So one of your kids is in McCombs. what does he or she study?

I have packed up everything. So by this time tomorrow I will be in Austin. Nifty.

Welcome to TEXAS! Hope you have a great trip and that The University of Texas AND Austin is everything you hoped for. To answer your question, my son is in BHP and we will be finding out shortly if he is in the MPA program. Keep in touch - I’m still laughing at myself for thinking your “hairy” kids comment was just “lost in translation.” hahaha

I am glad that it made you laugh.
Since English is not my first language, sometimes I do make mistakes in translation and that made me laugh so hard. It can make me frustrated sometimes, meanwhile I am enjoying the laughter these kind of mistakes bring me. I think I might be able to write a few lines for some comedian talk show one day. I believe the diversity of Austin will suit me especially well. People here are more understanding and tolerant towards differences in culture and lost in translation.
For the last couple of days, unpacking has kept me busy. Finally last night,I was able to take some time to see the city. My heartbeat probably rose to 200 times per minute when I saw the Clock Tower. I can’t wait to see what Austin has to offer. Applying to UT was a spontaneous decision and I am so glad I did. Moving to Austin is one of the best choices I have ever made.
I plan to apply for the MPA program next year after I clear some prerequisites. Good luck to him on the admission. Hook 'em!
