Looking for Middlebury Feedback for their first year

Hi- I found out about this new program accepting pre college students for the first time. My dd is back and I am itching to compare notes. She liked the faculty and loved the other students. Her language was heavy on the girls, but many were her age so that was very nice. I think this was an amazing collection of motivated kids who wanted to learn who came. As this was the first year I would be curious about what changes if any will be made for next year. She's interested in returning but with a different language. She did say you get more out of it-- since you had to speak in the language---if you had studied it for awhile. The excursions were really nice especially for those of us who don't live there. Come on folks--where are you?

My son attended the French camp and enjoy it very much. He took French I in 8th grade last year and didn't learn much His French I teacher at school didn't correct the kids in class and the students were all confused about pronunciation. At MMLA camp, the teachers (gently) corrected him and built up his confidence. Now he can go to French II class knowing what he should have known at the end of school last year.
I was very worried that he wouldn't enjoy himself, especially since I knew there would be many more girls than boys. I shouldn't have worried about that (teenage boy-what was I thinking??). He said there were some cool guys there made some good friends with both boys and girls. Now he really likes French and wants to study abroad during high school. Great program!
