Looking for more (in depth/insider) information about Mills, Hollins, Chatham and Sweet Briar

HS junior here. I'm interested in a liberal-leaning women's college that has a strong creative writing program for undergraduates. These are four of the colleges on my list (the others have been discussed significantly more often on CC). Chatham is lower on my list as it is going coed next year, but I'd love to get more information as none of the college books I've looked through have it listed. I like the idea of Kenyon (in particular the idea of a college with writing, choir, and spoken word poetry groups, and strong/well known literary publications) but would prefer a school that is less isolated and not coed. I'm open to other suggestions but am primarily seeking information for the aforementioned schools.

If anyone has in depth information about:
-the quality of creative writing at these schools
-presence of writers/writing community on campus/opportunities available for writers
-the level of academic rigor (I want to be challenged, but not overwhelmed)
-how accepting these campuses are (I am seeking a school that is liberal-leaning, and lgbt and feminist friendly)
-campus experiences with regards to the above
-any information you can give me beyond what is available in college books/on these colleges' websites
-leadership opportunities (I'm curious about Hollin's Batten Leadership Institute, and I've heard Sweet Briar offers a Leadership Certificate Program)

Look into attending the summer creative writing program at Hollins. our daughter did it last summer and loved it. It’s also pretty reasonably priced.

As a matter of fact, I have looked into Hollinsummer creative writing. Could you give me some more information about it? (ie, how writing-intensive is the program? Is there plenty of time for/in workshops?) http://www.hollins.edu/summerprograms/hollinsummer/creative_writing.shtml</a> There doesn’t seem to be too much available on the website.

It was pretty intensive – daily workshops on dialogue writing, creating a setting, crafting a plot. Time to read your stuff aloud. Guest lectures by various writers. Lots of socializing at night. Closer to the application date there should be a whole schedule on line --but call them and ask your questions. Everyone we have talked to there has been really nice.

Chatham recently went co-ed. I am not attending but grew up in Pittsburgh/took a class there while in high school/got in with merit/have friends there. Feel free to message me about Chatham.
