Hello, this is my first post so be kind. I'm looking for some feedback to see what programs I would likely be competitive in for seeking a Masters in Public Health or Public Policy. My undergraduate GPA was 3.65 with a 3.8 in my major area of study (psychology). My extracarriculars and leadership positions were extensive, to include the president of the number one student branch of the Association of the United States Army . I was also a distinguished military graduate from the nation's number one ROTC program. Right now I'm working for the U.S. Army as a medical service corps Captain. I've been responsible for managing a combat healthcare section in Ramadi Iraq, and was responsible as a health advisor, managing and operating a health clinic for a combat ready military organization. My Iraq experiences resulted in a writing credit for a publication in the International Journal of Military medicine. Right now I'm work for the Army Medical Department, and am responsible for the health care management of all new Medical officers joining the Army. I think my only problem is that my GRE scores aren't particulary high. 1150 overall, with a 5 in analytical writing. However I think that my post-graduation work experience is good considering I've only been out of school for 3 years (I'm 24). I'm also from a unique background and a member of a minority group (Not Asian). I know this can't hurt, but don't want this to be a reason for admission. Tell me what you think. Feedback's important. Thanks for entertaining my questions.

I'm looking into the same thing- try George Washington. They have a 5 year Bachelor's in Political Science, master's in public policy. Just something to check out...

I think you have a very good shot at the University of Florida's MPH program. My friend finished his masters a couple years back and was able to land a competitive job. Plus I think it's only 260 a credit hour if you are able to get military classification for tuition.
