Can someone recommend a good online writing class for my 6th grader? We have tried home2teach and have been happy with it. But wondering if there are others that are also well recommended.
Thank you!

Johns Hopkins CTY has some good online content. Your child will need a qualifying score on a test to be able to register. My kids have taken several of these online classes over the years, and found the quality to be pretty good.
Our local library offers a writing workshop for kids/teens.
Thank you for the CTY suggestion. Will look them up!
I am looking for classes that will run parallel to the school year. But yes these local workshops are a great source of information on local competition/networking etc
We did the Well Trained Mind. Asynchronous class.
My son did a two week summer writing program at Choate and loved it.
We just signed up for a class at Open Tent Academy. It doesn’t start for a few weeks, but came highly recommended. It’s designed for homeschoolers so it meets during the day, though. I think they’re planning to offer some evening classes, though.
Thank you @Nantar
We did a course through CTY. Check out Duke TIP also. We did a 2 week writing course at Emma Willard (all girls) at the end of 6th grade. Check out some of the JBS for summer programs. The one kiddo did was amazing - they did several field trips and wrote about experiences in different ways: Restaurant reviews, travel log, book review, poetry with a coffee shop reading, autobiography, and learning to write application essays. You can PM for more information.
@Golfgr8 What’s JBS? Thank you!
