Looking for opinions on my graduation

Hey guys, I'm in a delima here with my graduation. I am going to speak with my academic adviser and graduate admissions adviser but for now, i'd like to hear other opinions as well.

I am trying to decide whether or not I should graduate Dec 09 or May 10. Here are some factors:

I am 23, currently co-oping with a recognized defense contractor. Salary being around 35k without my degree. Once I graduate, I should be able to obtain a normal Mech Eng salary in the mid 50s. The salary factor isn't a deal breaker, but it is something to consider.

Also note, I do want to get a Master of ME over the span of a few year while working. I do require to take a few prereq classes before starting the grad program though whether or not they are taking before or after graduation.

If I graduate in Dec 09, my GPA is slightly less impressive. I still need to take the prereq classes for graduate school, but they will not count towards the GPA. On the other hand, I will be able to have a much higher pay.

If I graduate in May 10, my GPA will be high enough for me to not worry as much about admission for graduate school, however I will have a lower salary due to not having my degree for a semester, and let me tell ya, being a co-op leaves me doing some BS busy work.

Any opinions? I am leaning more towards May 10. I'll be a little older, but having an easier admittance for graduate school, and I can take my classes a little lighter between now and then.
