Looking for safety schools (BFA Acting)

Hi all,
I’m a high-school junior looking to get a BFA in acting. I’m perfectly fine getting a BA from safety schools though. I’m applying to all the normal BFA acting schools, but at the moment the only safety I have is URI (is this actually a safety for me? I’m pretty sure but I want an outside opinion). What other schools can I look at with good theatre major programs as safety schools?

WGPA: 4.01
UGPA: 3.79
SAT: 1310 (gonna take it one more time in May and aim for 1400)

EC’s:
2 shows per year (1 musical 1 straight play)
2 A capella groups (leader of one)
Barbershop quartet (leader and founder)
All-State Jazz choir member
NJ State Thespians Vice President
Jazz band
3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo
Taekwondo instructor
Swim team member & lifeguard

Thanks!

Is URI in-state for you?

What are your financial limitations?

A lot of Acting BFA applicants select Columbia College Chicago as a safety. You are a strong enough student that you might be able to look at some more selective colleges (CCC is near-open admissions). Will you need financial aid? Drew, in Madison, NJ, has good theater programs, and easy access to NYC. Adelphi, on Long Island, is similar. I’ve heard Muhlenberg is strong in Theater, also.
