Looking for scholarships - 2014 graduated senior planning to attend college in fall of 2015

If you really need to make up that $5000 cost per year, get a full time job this whole gap year, not just wait for the next Summer. You are likely to earn enough for the next couple years although your aid for next year may be affected.

Um…the student is doing a Rotary Exchange program. She will not be able to work until that ends.

Thank you for your advice. I really am not looking to find another school, though. As Thumper noted, I wouldn’t be able to work during my gap year because that is one of the rules of Rotary Youth Exchange. Therefore, I will work as much as I can next summer and apply for any outside scholarships that I possibly can. So far, I still only see that I am eligible for the Gates MS and Rotary one, though. I might possibly qualify for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. They haven’t replied to my email yet.

Also consider the Jackie Robinson scholarship & The Elks Club.

Thank you, I definitely will. :)
