I have visited both those schools and loved them, and am looking for similar schools i should apply to or look at. Any recommendations? i have a 34 on act and and heavily involved at my school.

What did you like about the schools?

I plan to go biomedical engineering as an undergrad with intentions of med school. I liked the high academic standard but a known school with strong athletics and student life. I play 3 varsity sports in high school but wont play in college, so i would like to still be around all the sports. The thing i want most though is the option to go into engineering or medicine.

Based on that, maybe look into these schools:
-Clemson
-Georgia Tech (awesome spirit, nice campus)
-Lehigh
-Rice (about as selective as Vanderbilt and Duke but a great school although lacking on the spirit department as it pertains to sports)
-Syracuse
-Tulane
-U Miami
-University of Southern California (guy from my temple was admitted to both, ultimately chose Vanderbilt but commented that it was a tough decision because he loved both schools)

Then there are some other DI state schools which offer BME. Those will have a ton of spirit and great research opportunities to boot.

awesome. thanks so much for the recs.

Similar Schools - Wake Forest, University of Virginia, Boston College, Lehigh, Georgetown, Washington and Lee, Colgate

Others (dependent on the qualities you are looking for) – Princeton, Dartmouth, Stanford, Davidson, Claremont McKenna, Northwestern, USC, Notre Dame, University of North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin, UMiami, Tulane, SMU, University of Richmond, UT-Austin

*Edit: These are based just on student bodies, not major
