Looking for second tier college for biology/high med school acceptance rate

What are some colleges (preferably on the East coast) that are just under the top universities in America that offer great biology programs for undergraduates/have a high med school acceptance rate?

There are many mid-tier schools on the East Coast (and EVERYWHERE), that have strong pre-med programs that have high med school acceptance rates (a high MCAT is also very important for med school acceptance - also high grades in Organic Chem classes).

So…first…answer some questions, so we can make appropriate suggestions… :)

What is your home state?

How much can your parents pay each year?

What are your stats (GPA weighted, ACT and SAT (including breakdown).

Are you a junior or a senior in high school?

Other than having a strong pre-med/bio program what else do you like in a school?
Big, small, quiet, rah rah big sports, city, college town, rural, warm weather, cold/snowy weather, single-sex schools, schools that are heavily male or heavily female? Catholic schools???

Holy Cross, Tufts.

Are you looking for merit scholarships? I’m wondering because of your request for mid-tier schools.

Muhlenberg, Ursinus, Franklin & Marshall, Juniata–although Mom2 asks very relevant questions

Yes. Holy Cross and Tufts are second tier colleges…

Washington & Jefferson has been known to have a surprisingly high med school acceptance rate [Washington and Jefferson College - Best Colleges - Education - US News and World Report](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/washington-pa/washington-and-jefferson-college-3389)

And I also LOL when someone posted that Tufts was a 2nd tier school!! You gotta be joking!!

Very high African American acceptance rate to med school: Xavier in New Orleans.

Is the OP African American?

If so, he could have more options. :)
