looking for some input

I'll be graduating in the spring of 2007 from a CC with my AA. My GPA is about a 3.8 and my EC's are very generic- working part-time, Phi Theta Kappa member, volunteer, and started an animal rescue. I also worked two full-time jobs after high school to help out my family durring a situation. I have some lofty goals of going to med school, despite what people have told me about starting out at a CC. Here's my list of schools that I'll be applying to. I'd love to hear what you think my chances are and, which schools would be the best fit hoping for med school after undergrad.

University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill
North Carolina State
University of Arizona
University of Florida-Florida resident attend a Florida CC
Clemson
East Carolina University

I'd also love you know if there are any other schools anybody thinks would be a good fit for me.
Thanks so much in advance

...bump...

bump... please pretty please

i think most of those universities are within your grasp - they probably don't get many too many hawaiian applicants.

The only ones that would be out of your grasp are UF and UNC - CH b/c you're OOS and got a 3.8 at a CC...

applying to UNC-CH as an out-of-state does not matter when you apply as a transfer. it is extremely difficult to get accepted into UNC as an OOS freshman applicant, but it does not matter for transfer admissions.

really??? Is that just true for UNC or are other state universities like that as well?

i know for sure that it's extremely difficult to transfer into cal or ucla as an OOS, but for the others, i don't think it really matters. i wouldn't know about UVA though (didn't really look into it and didn't apply).

wow thats cool i was really thinkin a/b UVA McIntire but cast it aside b/c it was OOS, so maybe I'll rethink...still I hear most of the students there are preppy and stuck up EWWW.
