I'm really worried about finding enough schools that I'm interested in to apply to in the fall. I have a GPA of 4.3, on a 5.0 scale, my SAT scores were 630 for Math, 670 for Critical Reading, and 700 for Writing. I play the cello and have a few other extracirricular activities. I'm looking for a school in a city, and probably somewhere on the eastern half of the country. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe try NYU and BU? Those are pretty well-known city schools that are probably within your league. Also look at Northeastern as a match? and maybe Fordham as a safety.

Also maybe look into Case Western, American and George Washington.

What are you interested in studying? What sort of social life do you want - athletic, Greek, more cultural and intellectual, etc?

I'm pretty sure that I'm going to major in journalism, but I want a school with a lot of different programs in case I decide to change it. Also, I'm looking for more of a cultural, intellectual atmosphere as opposed to a Greek atmosphere.

Maybe Emerson?

journalism, try Columbia, or northwestern (even though it is kinda in the midwest), I hear NWestern has a good journalism program. But what i would suggest is to try to google journalism ranking (if they have it) and then go to the colleges website and look at the statistics of admitted students, and build your list with at least 1 safety, 1 match, and then all the reaches you want.

Northeastern is a good match. Great urban campus.
