Your SAT scores seem a bit low - You might want to sit for the Oct or November test. Something magical seems to happen over the summer between Junior and Senior year. We were advised of this and it was very true, we got back my son’s scores the last week of November and it became a whole new ball game. His reach schools became safeties and he was able to apply to those universities he thought were out of reach. If you don’t initally get in ask for a comprehensive look at your application. I originally thought that Rutgers had really high requirements to get in, but I believe that when my son went to orientation over the summer they were told the average GPA was in the low 3’s on a 4.0 scale and the combined SAT scores were not as nearly as high as the college board website and others lead you to believe. Some programs are very competitve, pharmacy, business etc, so the better you look stat wise the better off you will be.

You need to get your SAT up if you want a definite acceptance. You aren’t far off but at this point you would be borderline. Getting them closer to 600 per part should be your goal.
