I am interested in science and engineering, but my school does not offer any clubs that are related to science and engineering. So I'm thinking about starting my own club. I don't want it to be a boring club though. I want it to have an impact on the school and the community. Do you guys have any ideas for a club like this? What kind of things would we do in this club? Thanks.

1) Find some good Competitions
2) Science Fair Great Idea
3) Discuss various scientific articles and stuff

at my school we have a computer club, we also have a science olympiad
im not in them though so i don't know what they do
there were kids talking about starting an engineering club

i don't know aobut your school but at mine we have a teacher who is the adviser, so if your school works that way maybe you could talk to one of the science teachers about starting a club and see what they'll do for you

I was considering both a computer club and an engineering club, but I wasn't sure what we would do in the clubs. I want it to be something that will have an impact.

We also have teacher advisers at my school. I think I will e-mail a couple teachers and see what they think. Thanks.

Any other ideas?

My school offers Robotics(great club with mechanical engineering) and Science Olympiad. Many of my friends from the Robotics club said that they made the best choice ever.

my school has just 1 club related to math/science/engineering = math league

everything else is stuff like "Weight Lifting Club" + "English Club" and trash

I;m also going to start though an engineering club at my school, partly because im interseted and partly because im worried that since my school hasnt offered engineering EC's i havent done anything related ot engineering as a EC, and since im going to apply to like Yale + Princeton + Cornell, They might think im just applying for engienering for no reason.

I'm going to call it "Future Engineers of America" XD

Dude I would so join your club. XD

Future Engineers of America lol...what would you do in that club?

You might try searching the websites of other high schools in your district (or anywhere else) and see if they offer anything similar to your interests. Then start up a club at your school and brainstorm ideas with those other clubs. You could also see if you can then collaborate with the other clubs to plan some district-wide "science and engineering" event.

I had some friends that always talked about tarc (team america rocketry challenge). They were always *****ing about soldering circuits and programing trajectories, but I guess it's pretty cool stuff. You should look that up.
