Looking for somewhere to study

Hi everyone! I’m new here so if I’m doing something wrong, be gentle.

I’m an international high school student looking for possible colleges to apply to in the US and Canada (latter preferred). I want to study Graphic Design and Visual Communications, or Creative Writing. I would prefer geographically east-placed colleges because that reduces the time difference, but I’m not very picky. Right now, my list is:

  • Carnegie Mellon
  • RISD
  • UCLA
  • USC
  • Syracuse

  • University of Alberta

What is your GPA/SAT/ACT/EC’s/Awards etc… How much can you and your family afford? You are you in need of significant financial aid?

I haven’t given any of them yet, I’ll be giving them next year. I will most likely be applying for financial aid / scholarships. I’m just looking for options to consider.

University of the Arts, in Philadelphia, has a first-rate Graphic Design program and a budding Creative Writing department. A good safety is Columbia College Chicago.
