How do your scores translate into grades?

Will you be retaking the SAT I?

I am not taking SAT I again.

My grade are somewhere just around 3.15 or so…

Rhodes would be a big stretch, but your expat status might make for an interesting hook…

How much money can your family afford? Sit down with them and run the FAFSA and CSS Profile calculators at [College Calculators - savings calculators - college costs, loans](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>How Much Will College Cost – BigFuture | College Board) Then talk the money issue over very carefully. Since you are a citizen, you can get a job either on or off campus, and you can work here in the summer vacations. You can also take out student loans if necessary. Find out what kind of debt your family thinks is OK, and how much money they expect you to earn during the school year and/or vacation periods. Don’t let this issue cause problems for you later on.

What do you want to major in? Do a search with CollegeMatchmaker or another search engine [College MatchMaker - Type of School](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board) to get a better idea of your options.

Hated the SAT? Consider taking the ACT and/or look at the list of test optional colleges and universities at [The National Center for Fair & Open Testing | FairTest](http://www.fairtest.org)

Want some advice for students coming out of the Indian school systems? Make an appointment at the EducationUSA advising center closest to you. They have a lot of experience with students in your situation. [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.info/)

BUT if this is your last year of secondary school, and you want to be in college/university in the US next fall, you really, truly need to get a move on.

Good luck!

I already have some colleges noted down and have started their applications. I just wanted more suggestions from you guys and an idea of what kind of college I could get in. I can afford it don’t worry and I might do a job or two over the summer.

I don’t have time for anymore standardized tests. I have to apply this month so,
