What California CC has the highest transfer acceptance rates to UC's? Or what is a Community College in the Los Angeles area that offers the best curriculum for a transfer to University of Southern California, University of California: Los Angeles, Berkeley, Irvine, Santa Barbara, or San Diego? I'm moving to California for the Spring semester or winter quarter for California I assume. I want to pick the best Community College that offers me a greater chance in being accepted as a transfer to the schools mentioned before.

Santa Monica College, Pasadena City College, and Los Angeles Pierce College are among the best. SMC offers the most courses and has the highest amount of transfers to UCLA out of the three I believe. Look on assist.org to see which college has the most courses articulated for your major.

It does not matter what the name of the CC is, just that you complete as much of your major preparation possible and maintain a competitive GPA. That being said, larger CC’s offer more courses and flexibility. They also may offer courses needed for your major that other, smaller CC’s don’t offer. Some CCC’s participate in a TAP program for Berkeley which I believe guarantees admission. However, I think you have to be low-income and there are other requirements.

How low of an income? My parents are well below the National Average Income. I suppose I could maybe be eligible for the TAP program. My parents income overall is Below $35,000. I assume that’s very low. I’m a student striving to become big and help out my parents who have help me out a lot.

Also what schools has the best Medical School or most reputable?

I assume I’m going to apply of Santa Monica Community College, but I will look at the other schools mentioned, because distance can play a factor. I don’t want to go to far from the residence. Gas nowadays can be a killer and especially with my financial situation I can’t afford to over waste.

Santa Monica College is ranked the best. but it has like a high interenational student population that might distort their transfer rates higher. Orange Coast College and Saddleback College are good schools too.

sorry im very new with this college thingy, but how exactly do u find the college which has the most courses articulated for your major (in my case, it’s chemE) on assist.org?

One of the things you should consider is which UC you want to go to. A lot of UC’s have special agreements with the local community colleges. Some have preferred admission, others offer guarantees to students with a certain GPA or who complete a certain program. I’m at Saddleback College, and there’s a program which can guarantee you a spot at UCI or give you a boost when applying to UCLA.

It all depends on what university you want to go to and what you want to as your major. Santa Monica College is pretty good. They send the most students to USC, UCLA, and a lot of other colleges as well. The TAP program doesn’t guarantee you admission to UCLA or Berkeley. However, it does make you look better when you do apply and gives you an advantage than other students. The TAG program guarantees you admission to the school you want to go to as long as you follow the rules.

I live in Las Vegas and its my last year in high school. Yay for class of 2010! Nevada colleges really do SUCK. So my plan is to move to LA area and go to Santa Monica. My dream school is USC; everyone knows how hard it is to get into that school. Even if I don’t get into USC as a transfer, I think I’ll have a good chance of getting into UCLA. And if I don’t get into either, I can still go to a great college like UC San Diego or UC Santa Barbara.

If you want to transfer to UC Berkeley, you can try Diablo Valley College, De Anza College or City College of San Fransico. They are the top schools that transfer most to UC Berkeley last year. They also have transfer agreements with a lot of other well-known UC like UC David, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara. You can look up in their websites. For example, this is the one I found on Diablo web : [Diablo Valley College - Transfer Center - Transfer Agreements](http://www.dvc.edu/org/departments/transfer-center/transfer-agreements.htm)
Glendale CC, Orange Coast College, Pasadena City College, Pierce College are other good choices to consider.
Run back to my final paper

I’m going to Berkeley City College because they have a high acceptance rate at Cal, and a concurrent enrollment program with Cal, Mills, and CSU East Bay. But BCC has hardly any classes, so that’s definitely something to keep in mind. While I’m glad to be literally 2 blocks from Berkeley, and involved in the Berkeley scene, I kinda wish now I had chosen to to go to CCSF.

CCSF has the concurrent enrollment with Berkeley as well. But good luck getting classes here our average enrollment is 100k+ students a semester.
