My daughter asked for these https://www.ugg.com/women-boots/harrison-chelsea/194715653757.html
I have something similar I wear with leggings that have a side zip.
My D wears bootie height boots almost daily to work and she also loves the Born brand for durability and comfort.

Agree with @oldfort - I have always had good luck with Cole Haan. Good quality.

Born boots are pretty inexpensive and I’ve had at least a couple of pairs.

My sorel boots are the most comfortable ones I own.

Perfect walkability.

My daughter wanted new boots for Christmas. We happened to be by a Nordstrom and had a wonderful salesman. She must have tried 15 different boots on, some of the same style but different sizes. It felt so old fashioned and wonderful. She found the perfect boot for her.

She ended up with these. https://www.nordstrom.com/s/munro-rourke-bootie-women/5900950?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FAll%20Results&color=001

Over your budget but my point is that sometimes it takes a lot of frogs to find your prince (perfect boot).

I’ve had many pairs of Munro shoes and boots. Very comfy.

I have a pair of Rudsak ankle boots, but mine are a few years old. They are really comfy.

I’ve looked at the Evie. I like them! On my short list

Definitely Blundstones!

Born are great for comfort and tend to have a very reasonable price point. They generally stay on trend.

I wear Blundstones for work outdoors and they last longer than most and are comfortable. They are definitely more casual

Ariat, made as barn/riding boots, are comfortable and generally durable. The styling is little sleeker than Blundstones. Several of my NYC friends have taken to these as they are great for walking and waterproof but don’t look quite as “farm-y” as some.

Ariat paddock boots. They are the only boots I can comfortably wear.

I’m not sure these fit all of your requirements, but I have been wearing them a lot so far this winter:

@deb922 Which sorels do you have? Perfect walkability sounds fantastic!

Fun thread. I have two pair of booties from a few years ago (black and light brown). I really like this style and do wear them for casual walk, like church or a museum visit, when the footing is not too slippery. Not sure they’d work for this situation but posting for variety.

I like Clark’s. Comfortable and stylish. Women's Casual Styles - Casual Shoes, Boots & More | Clarks

I didn’t link them since they weren’t what @abasket wanted at all. But the first boots linked I do my daily walks of 3 miles plus in. I live in a place where we get quite a bit of snow so I need waterproof more snow boots than others. I do put my own inserts in them.

But I would recommend any Sorel boots because I find them very comfortable for me.
