German is basically my only hook, so I've been trying to find schools with top undergrad German programs that would like to have me. However, I can't really find any rankings for undergrad German programs...and google's not helping at all...can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Sous_lepontmirabeau, unfortunately, undergraduate admission committees at universities with strong German departments aren't going to give you preferred status just because you are strong in German...even if you make it clear that you intend to major in German. In most cases, you will be applying to the college of Arts and Sciences and those colleges will usually look at you wholistically. If you were applying to Engineering programs and had a clear gift for Math and the Physical Sciences, that would obviously help your chances. But it does not work the same way for a student intending to major in German.

At any rate, here is a slightly dated ranking of top German departments. I doubt that things have changed that much in the world of German Language studies.

But like I said, it won't make a difference in the large scheme of things.
