I need to take 2 classes to graduate, but they need ot be online, because my school, ucsb, doesnt offer them next quarter. So I have two questions:
- How do I go about searching for a CERTAIN course, given that I don’t care which
<ol>
<li>More specifically, where can I take Upper division Macroeconomics online (NOTE: The course simply has to fit the general description of “upper division microeconomics” in order for my University to accept it!!)</li>
</ol>
Also, where can I take a course which fits the description of “Financial management”
Thanks,
Tesla Carre
Here’s a Financial Management class:

Here are two options for upper division economics classes, University of Texas, University Extension, Online Classes. Would either of these work?
ECO 333K : Development Economics (Online)
ECO 355 : Development Problems and Policies in Latin America (Online)
or how about

E308 - Survey of Public Finance
Major elements of taxation and public expenditures. Not recommended for economics majors. Only six credit hours from E308, E361, E362 may be counted toward a major in economics. NOTE: Online Course requires Microsoft Word. Student comments: “Understanding more about public finance and its present application of theory and practice. The study guide was useful to prepare for me to write assignment exams. Also, enabled me to know the microeconomics aspects of public finance.” Prerequisites: E201, E202.
Easiest way would be contacting universities personaly and ask them about specific course. Searching on the internet will cost much time.
When searching online, I’d try to look at websites that show courses for the whole state…it’ll speed up searching time incredibly. For example [Minnesota</a> Online: Online Education from Minnesota State Colleges and Universities](<a href=“http://www.minnesotaonline.org/]Minnesota”>http://www.minnesotaonline.org/) shows all online coursework in the state of MN. Many other states have similar websites.
Otherwise, you may want to check out schools that offer online business programs as they offer online business courses. Some to look into include Ottawa University, University of Maryland University College (they offer LOTS of online programs and coursework so they’ll probably have what you’re looking for), and maybe University of North Dakota or University of Nebraska- Kearney, University of Illinois, etc. A quick search on each site’s catalog/course schedule will let you know whether or not they have the courses you are looking for…
How about National University, based in San Diego.
