Hello everyone,

I tend to babble, but I'll do my best to keep you interested. Please read on and give any opinion you wish! This situation MAY be relevant to me personally, however your opinions could be useful to others as well. Thanks in advance for reading!

I earned my undergraduate degree in mathematics with a concentration in engineering and after 6 more credits this coming semester, I will have completed a masters degree in electrical engineering specializing in alternative energy. Strangely enough, I am most interested in the contradictory, yet undeniable connection between business and engineering/technology. Stereotypically speaking "nerds" aren't considered/supposed to be business typhoons, thus influencing the nickname among these rare, hybrid, business/science minds as "gold-collar workers." There is nothing I long for more than to further pursue my education in a more business oriented direction. I always was good at math and science and thoroughly enjoy conquering the subjects, however I have always been a "people person," which I have come to find as extremely rare in my field. It's almost an obsession of mine to always be communicating and I have commonly been proclaimed as "needy" of interaction with others. I love human connection and fully recognize the pertinence of the transfer of technological information to a level field of marketable intellectualism. Having said this, I am faced with making a (seemingly) final step in my education....... but what?

Initially, and mostly since it was the first thing to come to mind, was an MBA. There are many concentrations of within MBA programs, some of which seem more appropriate when coupled with masters in EE; management, entrepreneurship and marketing are a few off the top of my head. In addition, there are many ways to go about earning these degrees including numerous part-time, full-time and online programs. This additional degree could open doors to a world of technological and engineering based business careers.

The problem is, I have no idea where to begin in this aspect and where it might place me in the future. This is where you come in. If you have advice, experience, or any type of opinion... please feel free speak your mind.

Just a PS- I am also considering a law degree in intellectual property, however the length of schooling in comparison to the MBA is a serious factor during consideration (law degree would be much lengthier and more demanding). Also, one of these days I might need to make some money! :) I love school, but I don't want to be in it FOREVER!... I'm 24 years old and not getting any younger.

I remember being at the national competition of science olympiad in the 7th grade and watching a well respected scientist climb a podium in front of thousands of young intellectuals and screaming "NERDS RULE THE WORLD!!!" He was absolutely correct... but only to a certain degree. Nerds, indeed, rule the world, however businessmen/businesswomen regulate their level of power. The two backgrounds operating uniformly and simultaneously presents a completely different playing field...
