Looking to Transfer from UGA to GA Tech in two years?

I will be a freshman at UGA in the fall of 2015. I have a desire to transfer to GA Tech within two years. I have done my research by reviewing the transfer credits chart that GA Tech provides for those interested in transferring. My intended major is computer science. My current schedule is below and I am looking to add one more class for this semester:

CALC 2250
CSCI 1301
ENGL 1101
FYOS (freshmen class required)
POLS 1101/HIST 1211 (looking to add)

For those of you that have transferred in to GA Tech recently, what do you recommend I plan on doing these next couple of years to make my chances of transferring higher. I hear that many students for GA Southern or GSU, etc. are able to transfer smoothly but I haven’t seen many threads for UGA comp sci majors. I have also heard that the process has become increasingly competitive. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as getting into GA Tech is something I am willing to work hard for. I just don’t want to do anything that isn’t necessary or won’t matter to GA Tech once I apply to transfer. What will make me stand out?

If you know anyone from UGA that transferred into Tech, it would be appreciated if you would show them this post

Thanks in advance for your help!

I am in the same boat as an incoming freshman. I am looking to transfer into the college of engineering after getting deferred and waitlisted from Georgia Tech this year. I am a Chemistry major at UGA taking:
Chem 1211+1211L (Transfers as Chem I)
Psych 1101 (Transfers as psych)
Math 2250 (Transfers as calc I)
Musi 2020 (humanities transfer)
FYOS (Elective transfer)
I exempt from English I and II from AP credit.

From what I understand, the earliest time we can transfer would be spring semester of our sophomore year because I believe that we need to have 30 credit hours completed with those requirements at the time of the application. I was hoping that I could apply during my spring semester at UGA and transfer as a sophomore at tech in the fall.

Best of luck to us!

I would recommend that anyone with questions best answered by actual GT students also search and/or post on Georgia tech reddit. Lots of current students there.
