I'm currently a freshman in college, will have my Associate's by the end of the spring (14 credits this semester, 19 next semester) with a 3.7-4.0 GPA. I got into a lot of good schools (like NYU Tisch) when I applied last year, but we couldn't afford any of them so I decided to do a year at CC rather than going to a financial safety that I didn't really care about. I also could only apply to a limited amount of schools last year because of our financial situation, but we're a lot better off now so I'm going to reach for schools I was hesitant about before. :)

My high school grades weren't stellar... W GPA was 3.9 and I was in the top 20% (or maybe it was 25, I forget), I'm not sure about unweighted because my HS didn't tell us but I think it's in the neighborhood of 3.0-3.4. My test scores were pretty good though, 31 ACT and 2090 SAT (CR 710 M 650 W 730) so that probably helped me get in before. I have a wide range of ECs related to my interests (film, theatre, marketing/advertising) and a couple hundred hours of community service like most people on here so I'm not going to bother listing those because I'm not really looking to be chanced.

These are the schools I would like to apply to this year, and I'm looking for other recommendations. Ideally, I would like some advice about schools that meet full financial need. So, here's the list (in no particular order except for the first).

USC (my number one choice by far. I love their film school and they have an awesome Consumer Behavior minor that I would pursue. It combines economics, sociology, psychology, marketing, and advertising.)

Carnegie Mellon (I know they don't have a film program but I really like CMU and I wrote a great essay for them last time because I love their Creative Writing major/Cinema Studies minor)

University of Chicago (I'm a Chicago native and I love the city)

Northwestern University (I got rejected last year, but it's worth another shot... plus it's close to home)

Columbia University (great film school)

Yale (awesome/underrated film program too)

So, I was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions that I might've overlooked. :) Please don't suggest NYU, I'm really not interested in applying there again.
