I got one A one B and 2 C's this semester. I was hoping to do a lot better but because of a break up and whatever I was out of it the last few weeks and ended up here. Id been doing really well the past year bring my gpa up from below a 2.0 the first year I attended a cc. Now because of this I wind up with a 2.95 invalidating my tags (my goal is Ucsd). This being my third year and looking the policies I might be able to file for academic renewal for my first semester but that drops my English requirement class and I'd still be invalid. Ive sort of lost hope, I can't take my cc anymore and I feel like I've used up all my chances.

have you ever thinking of dropping out of CC and attend private college for medical assistance? i know how you feel too. One of my good friend after screwing up this semester, dropped out of CC after 4 years of college. thats kinda sad when he he did that. he wasted all those year for nothing. and his gpa was like 3.7 or somthing. i think you still have chance at lower rank UC like santa cruz or riverside if u apply to them.

if u really hate ur cc, then why don’t you just transfer to a state? Csu’s accepts anyone with a 2.0+.

You did screw up pretty damn bad. Like you were almost there TAG and everything.

We can always count on Pianocat to acid rain on someone’s parade, lol…

well for UCD tag u only need 2.9

While you might no longer qualify for TAG for SOME UC’s, others do have lower GPA requirements: UCR, UCD, etc. You still meet the GPA for regular admission - so keep working hard during this Winter or Spring sessions. Don’t lose hope! We’ll know for sure by April/May, I believe.
