Looks Like Scholarship Notifications Are Up!

Hey everybody,

Just wanted to let you know that I received my scholarship notification on fsu's status checker! im very grateful to have received the university scholarship! good luck to everybody!

Oh! Me too!

If we accept the scholarship, is that taken as an intent to enroll?

Where is the scholarship notification?

I logged into my application portal, where it was under my admissions decision.

im not sure what the conditions of acceptance and tentative acceptance of the scholarship are. has anybody gotten the email that is mentioned on the status page? im going to wait for that before i click anything, lol. congrats guys! i know some people will be wondering the stats of those who got the offers, so ill post mine, and maybe some other people can post their stats as well.

Unweighted GPA: 3.9
Weighted GPA: 5.11 (Not sure about FSU GPA)
SATs: 1460 Math and Reading/2260 composite

I didn't get one. Not that I really expected anything.

UW: 3.41
Weighted: 3.94

SAT: 1300/1600

its ok matt125, there are a few other scholarships that i'm not sure are announced yet, so don't lose hope! ur numbers look pretty good for a 21st century scholarship. :-)

Scholarship acceptance is online. Freshman University Scholarship awarded! Does anyone know if that $9600.00 is above the 100% Bright Futures?

Didn't get anything, not surprisingly. I've got a 4.4 GPA, but an 1820 SAT.... I hate those tests...

I will have an A.A. by tonight (graduation!), even though I'm in high school. Does anyone know if I'd be eligible for transfer scholarships? I'm not even sure what they offer at FSU for transfer scholarships, but I have a 3.9 GPA, so I think I might be somewhat competitive.

Pohsmom: Yes, the money awarded is in addition to the 100% bright futures award, as far as i know.

AT9: Congrats on the AA! I'll be graduating with my AA and high school diploma concurrently as well, but not until May. From what I've been told, unless you applied as a transfer student, you are not eligible for transfer scholarships.

Speaking of AA's, does anybody know what happens to your scholarship if you enter FSU as a junior and were awarded the University Scholarship? Since you're graduating in 2 years as opposed to 4, are you only awarded half of what you would normally be awarded as a student who enters as a regular freshman, or are you still awarded the full amount? I emailed admissions about this, but just wondering if anybody knew off the top of their head. Thanks! :-)

I suspect you'd be allowed to collect the full amount perhaps in grad school. This is becoming more common now than before.

If you tarry on acceptance you risk losing the scholarship as I understand it.

Has anyone received the scholarship email mentioned?

i just spoke to admissions, and the woman mentioned that they made a little mistake, and a letter will be mailed rather than an email. But as long as you tentatively accept the scholarship, its reserved for you. Once you're sure that you're going to FSU, you can go back and accept it. :-)

I got the university scholarship!
my stats: 4.7 weighted gpa, 3.5 unweighted, 1990 sat score
so excited!

I was offered the University Freshman Scholarship!
GPA: 4.2 w, 3,9 uw, 1980 SAT

My question is what is the difference between "Accept" and "Tentative Accept?"
Which one do I choose if I'm still not 100% sure if i'll be attending FSU?

Congrats everybody! Applebomber, if you are not 100% sure about FSU, you can tentatively accept the scholarship so as to reserve your money if you choose to attend. If/When you decide to go to FSU, you can go back and change the status from tentatively accept to accept. :-)

university scholarship here!

uw gpa: 3.7
w gpa 4.06
act 31

woo!
dunno if im going to fsu though..

What have you guys done to get these scholarships to show up?

It says I have outstanding documents, and yet when I try to see those documents, nothing shows up. It says "Currently there are no received documents on file for 2009 - 2010" What documents do I need to submit? lol

Also, does UF offer scholarships like the university scholarship? It seems like FSU would offer me better financial aid based on the scholarships I should qualify for.
