I am currently in 9th grade at an extremely horrible public high school. I am not a minority but I attended a school in which only 13% of the 800 people go to college (12% will stay in state). I am in the top 5% of my class and have made nothing but high honor rolls grades since 7th grade. I was president of FBLA in 8th grade and was/is involved in Scholars Bowl, newspaper, literary magazine, community service, photography contests, writing contests, key club, battle of the books, spanish club, french club. I was a english, science, spanish, and french tutor and I won a state writing contest and was runner up nationally. I have taken my ssat's twice and got a 63% and a 67% (i think that is the only thing holding me back). I also need considerable financial aid. Chance me?

I think your chances are fairly high. Your active participation in many clubs and excellent grades are great. About the ssat's, I would not concern yourself too much. Generally, school's care more about your grades and teacher reccomendations then about your scores. I currently attend Loomis Chaffee and receive a considerable amount of financial aid, so needing financial aid should not hurt your chances. The financial aid program at Loomis is very strong and gave me the biggest grant out of all the 5 schools I applied to.

BUMMMPPPPPP! I need advice!
