LOR from grad student?

Is it ok to get a letter of recommendation from a grad student who taught one of my classes? I know its better to have an actual professor but I have had grad students teach a good amount of my classes so far.

No it is not okay. The letter can be written by the grad student but it needs to be co-signed by someone with a phD.

^That.

You want someone who can speak credibly about your ability to succeed in med school. A grad student can’t do that. Preferably it should be written by a prof who’s written a lot of LORs, so they know how to make you look good.

Last resort for sure.
