<p>I completely understand the cons that many people have found about LA.
I’ve lived here all my life. Aside from the beautiful weather all the time, it’s the culture that makes this such a beautiful city. You say it’s ugly? Of course it’s ugly, it’s one of the oldest cities. The public transportation is NOT horrible. We have the metro…it’s just not right in front of your face like in NY or Seattle or something. Go to la plazita olvera and learn about the hispanic culture that existed during the development of the city of angels. sure, gangs are prominent, and they are everywhere else. But there’s nothing like driving the 5 North and seeing the skyscrapers in the beautiful sunset. </p>
<p>If you don’t like LA (or have only seen it from LAX which is honestly an awful depiction of LA) then that’s cool! I totally respect that. But it’s not overrated. It has its pros and cons…just like any other city. </p>
<p>If you hate LA, it’s probably because you sit at home and don’t go out. It’s not like NY where everything is a few skips away. There are so many hidden treasures in this city, you just have to seek them out.</p>
