Loss, Loneliness, Discontent--Where to go from here?

I agree citygirlsmom, but again we are a society on the move and our medicine has to be too.

Northstarmom is right though, after you exhaust ALL your other options and you are sure its not just you having a rough time, then I am a sure advocate of psychiatric drugs (hell I want a future career in psychiatry), I just feel that alot of people in the OPS position wouldve automatically just went straight for the drugs, which is why its refreshing to see someone trying to work their problems out first.

As northstarmom said though, if you DO actually need them, they can be miracle workers. Just as I HAVE seen kids that shouldnt have be messed up mentally, I have also seen shy, miserable kids turn into positive active socialites (I thought I made this word up but apparently not), it all depends on if its right for you. Seeing as how northstarmom has experience in it I would ask her more about it if you feel you need to go that route, maybe she wouldn’t mind telling you what initially signified that she actually NEEDED them instead of just wanting something to help and how she went about doing it, it will be easier if you know what to expect at least.
