How do you pump yourself up when your doing bad in school..meaning a low GPA?
I'm completely losing motivation and I feel like I'm throwing all of my hard work away now

slap yourself in the face and wake up

In all honesty, you should watch Stand up comedy, write poetry even though you might suck, and play Yu-Gi-Oh cards with your friends.
If you don’t have friends then get the game on GBA and play the Trish character because he’s so dumb he forgets to play a monster on the first turn and you can attack his life points directly LOLOLOL

I know exactly how you feel. Sleep all day Saturday. Have a marathon of your favorite t.v. show. Go out for a night with your friends. Just have some fun and relax!

Will Do

I guess hearing things like this makes things better haha =]

What makes things worse is that I’m only a junior and I have such a long way to go still ughh its like never ending

Well, I’m a girl, and there was one time in my sophomore year where I felt really lost and unmotivated. I felt like I lost all inspiration and I just wanted to give up school and everything else. I just had a really good cry. After that, I fell asleep and woke up feeling a bit better. Just do anything that helps you release all this weird tension and lack of motivation. Take a break. BREATHE. Know that this moment is for another moment, a moment when you’ll be able to relax because you just worked your butt off.

Do things you want to do, just anything to make you feel better. Go party, watch TV, take lots of naps, eat sweets, whatever.
I hope you know that you’re not alone in this! A lot of people feel this way.

aww that really makes me feel a lot better…i guess its just been a really long three years in and I’m nervous for applications

you guys are great! thanks! =]

Give yourself one day a week to do absolutely nothing school-related. For many, this day is Saturday; for others, especially those with Saturday ECs (ah, debate), it’s Friday or Sunday. I know that I felt really in over my head when I was always worrying about what I had to do next. Well, guess what: the train of things to do never really ends. The only way to deal with it is to schedule blocks of time off from work, to give yourself permission to feel untethered from everything on your To-Do List. Then you can return to your work the next day fresh-faced and ready to buckle down.

Also try searching “deep procrastination” at Study Hacks - Decoding Patterns of Success - Cal Newport. I certainly suffered from it for a while.

And here’s a secret: You will spend all of junior and senior year totally wrapped up in the college admissions process. It will consume you, feel like all you can think about and the most important thing in your life. And then decisions come out, and everyone touches back down to Earth, and no one gives a fig about where anyone else is going except to say, “That’s awesome! You’ll love it there!” (and mean it). Promise. It’s not worth getting worked up into knots about.
