Lost AP score?

So it appears that College Board has lost my AP environmental science score, and the problem is that that was the AP I self-studied! What should I do? They are giving me two choices:

1.) Retake the test for no charge.
2.) Cancel the score and get a refund.

What I am personally worried about is that I will get absolutely no recognition of ever even taking the exam if I cancel the score completely. Do I retake the exam and let MIT know that I had self-studied, but they had lost it? Or do I cancel the exam?

that really sucks… I doubt that having one less AP will hurt your chances of acceptance. I would tell MIT that College board lost the test you self studied for in your Additional Information portion for sure.

Yeah it really does suck, but I think it matters quite a lot because I only took 2 other APs junior year. That was the whole point of the self-study. Yeah, I will tell MIT of this, but I am wondering if I should cancel the score and get the refund or retake the test. What do you guys think?
