Anyone know how I can get one without paying the $25 replacement fee? Like friends who work there...?

Also, how long should I wait, before getting a new card? I lost it walking from the RSF to Unit 2....

the real problem is replacing the bus pass, which costs like $60 I think.

meh, i never ride the bus anyways...but seriously, anyone have advice on 1) how long i should wait, and 2) whether or not somebody who can hook me up with a replacement

If you have a meal plan, then wait a week before you report it lost on the Cal1Card website and get a new one. If you don't have a meal plan, then wait 2 weeks. In the mean time, check the lost and found in Sproul Hall.

No. Getting a replacement entails deactivating the card that you lost and issuing a new card. When they do this, the school system gets a record of the transaction, so you will get billed on CARS.

is sproul the main lost and found? i've checked the units and rsf and no luck

Yes, Sproul's lost and found gets the most traffic.
