no, OP, there are always options. they might right now look like optimal options, but I gave you one option already: UAlabama. There are other options out there, I promise. You’ve got to go looking for them with a flexible lens. So you’re not getting the wedding you imagined. Does that mean you’re not going to marry your fiancé? Flexibility is terribly important to living a full life. The way that is named is not the true way.

My M + CR is only 1340 though, so I wouldn’t even qualify.

Try the ACT as well as retrying the SAT.

Here are some lists of large merit scholarships. For the automatic-for-stats ones, you can look at them for target SAT and ACT scores to try for.

Like another poster mentioned, you have TCNJ and Rutgers available. Realistically those might be your best bets. However, if you are willing to go OOS, Tulane and Alabama are possibilities. There are some schools that could offer you merit scholarships based on your stats, but I am not certain of the quality of those institutions so I’d be wary of recommending them to you.

OP, if you have only a 1340 and need a 1400 or higher, you know what your options are.

Have you looked at Rowan? With your SAT you would get $8,500-$13,500 in scholarships
<a href=“Home | Rowan | Rowan University”>Home | Rowan | Rowan University;

and the base price is $23,570 for instate

Also are you sure they have NO money available? or that they can’t pay full price?
Why are you so sure you arent’ eligible for financial aid?

Thanks to all those who have provided suggestions.

And after speaking with my mom, I was told my sister did not receive financial aid but only large grants that still have to be payed back.

Grants are gratis; they are not paid back. They are financial aid called need-based aid. If your sister rec’d these, then you will possibly get them, too. There’s some confusion about money and college in your household. Seek clarification from your sister about any grants she’s rec’d and how much your parents are contributing.

I looked at some of your other posts. You are ultimately interested in medical school, correct?

If Florida is still an option, then you have a very good chance at a full ride at FIU, but I believe you’ve already discovered that.

If you have now decided that you must be closer to home, and you really need all expenses paid, then look into Alfred State.

http://www.alfredstate.edu/paying-for-college/distinguished-scholar-program

Not certain if your GPA qualifies (they require a 94), but it’s certainly worth checking into.

Their Bachelor’s course offerings are very limited, but I believe that the Forensic Science program would provide you with the prerequisites for medical school.

http://www.alfredstate.edu/academics/programs/forensic-science-technology-bs

Just throwing it out there. Good luck to you in your search!

Do you know what a 94 translates into on a 4.0 GPA scale?
And thanks again!

Should be 3.75

Thanks!

Try this: <a href=“Alfred State College | Online GPA Calculator”>http://websoft.alfredstate.edu/gpa-calc/

Also this is a fun tool: http://www.collegesimply.com/guides/2060-on-the-sat/

@CaliGW according to the College Board a 94 is a 4.0. But in this case (scholarship) they are probably hoping to see your actual grades if they are on a 100 point scale.

<a href=“How to Convert (Calculate) Your GPA to a 4.0 Scale – BigFuture”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;

But everyone uses different scales so it’s pretty confusing. A 4.0 can have a pretty wide range.

but only large grants that still have to be payed back.

I think you mean large LOANS that have to be PAID back.

Yes, my mistake ^
