Lost Cause?

Well, what can I say?
I was an unbelievably lazy student during the first semester of sophomore year. And I'm not saying 3.0 bad. I got less than a 2.0 :(

I tried to make up for it, and I did an amazing job of it.
So here's how my trend goes.

10th grade - First Semester - Less than a 2.0
10th grade - Second Semester - 3.8
11th grade - First Semester - 4.4
11th grade - Second Semester - 4.6

I re-took the two classes that I didn't pass, and I got A's in both. And California uses the Uncapped System, so that might help me out a bit.

But I'm worried that I gave it my all during the last 3 semesters for a lost cause.

I applied to USC, UCD, UCI, Cal Poly-SLO, UCSC, UCSD, UCM, UCSB.

Ugh. So frustrating. If I could have that semester back, I'd get at least a 3.8

Should I be TOO worried?

...Bump...

What's your GPA as of now?

Do you mean what I got first semester of this year (Senior)?
I got a 4.2

The second semester at my school started Jan 31st.

I dont know what my UC gpa is.

The trend of your grade is going up. I'm sure you'll get in to one of the UCs. I won't be surprised if you get in to UCLA too as long as you have good SAT score.

Junior and senior year, are looked very closely by most colleges, even though your first two years are also considered.

What's important here is that you've strided and completely changed yourself, and this obviously shows. This is your strongest tool.

Thanks guys. This sure takes a load off my chest.

no he meant wut is ur new soph gpa with the two classes u retook?
