ok so im flippin excited out of my socks for this new show. a friend is actually having an opening the season party which im attending. i guess we will learn more about the others!!! aka like 50 more new mysterys.

I used to watch it, but watching TV was sucking up too much of my time so I had to scale back on shows I was addicted to. I do, however, love the fact that U of M is mentioned in the show :D

I’m so excited too

what do you think going on the show

my theory is that they are in some kind of electromagnetic field in the north pole where darhram/ hanso does some kind experiment(s). beyond that I have no idea what’s going on.

i would like to hear any other theories. :)

if it were in the north pole then itd be cold...its somewhere in the pacific ocean as they were flying from australia to la on flgiht 815. duh. but the world race that (i forgot his name :-/) the scottish guy was on for the fat chick thatl oves him is there to collect people for the island.

No, the electromagnetic field makes warm and crap, it’s also why there was a polar bear on the first episode. There is also a ton of other things that point it being in the north or South Pole. Just wait and see, if I’m wrong I will personally give you $100.

^
it sure looks like you know your lost

what the hell is going on in that show? someone please tell me whats it all about?

the latest? the others have a "modern" village on the island. i think they come from the original group of scientists from dharma and are still running tests. i believe that kate is going to have to choose between Sawyer (the ape?) and Jack (the shark?) in two weeks. unsure of what will happen to the other. really enjoyed that fish biscuit and the accompanying 'took the bears two hours' line. also, i think joop (the chimp that is the thing that comes on during an emergency cancellation episode and divulges all of the secrets of lost) used to be in the cage sawyer is in. also, what are the other clues to it being near a pole? the polar bear is no good since it is a leftover from the dharma initiative when they were testing reactions to extreme environments. the EM field keeping it warm? idk....

personally i was disappointed with the first episode! no cliffhanger ending!!! but i still enjoyed it and i guess the "good job judith" "thank you ben" is odd. who knows. i miss the other losties though.

I personally really liked after Sawyer got the fish biscuit when he threw it over to Kate, that was a nice moment.. I thought the episode was good but we really didn't learn anything but instead a whole bunch of new mysteries were introduced.. And no cliff hanger. But I still thought it was good! But a little unsatisfying. lol also I thought when they made kate take a shower and put her in the dress and brought her outside, i thought they were going to make her "mate" with Sawyer or something like that. I guess i was a little off :)

I know it was a little unsatisfying... I hope lost doesn’t go the same way as alias. Alias sort of fizzled out in its third and forth season.

Evidence of a biosphere in the North or South Pole (most likely south):

for some of the links the pictures change URL so you might have to look to the row of pictures below the featured picture

1.) In Walt’s/ Hurley’s comic book it show people and a polar bear in the artic
http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage.php?album=topn&cat=39&pos=171

2.) Take a look at this pic, its the comic that show a biosphere: http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage.php?album=topn&cat=39&pos=440

Here’s the real comic book, look on page 34 and half comic takes place in the artic. The first 2-6 pages are also interesting : http://www.lostlinks.net/comic/comic1.htm

3.) They said they were 3000 miles off course and that could easily land them in the South Pole.

4.) In last seconds of the season finale of last season the people who where looking for the signal (which was let off in the finale), were in the artic weather. Pictures here: http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage.php?album=topn&cat=39&pos=766
http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage.php?album=topn&cat=39&pos=782
And: http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage.php?album=topn&cat=39&pos=797

5.) In the season finale when the EM field went off because loch didn’t press the #'s
There was a big light that went off that was coming from over head
Here’s a so-so pic of it:
http://gallery.lost-media.com/displayimage.php?album=topn&cat=39&pos=695

6.) The joke "what did one snowman say to the other snowman" is an allusion to the fact they are in the artic.

7.) When Sayid used his compass, it didn’t work which would mean they were on the north or South Pole or it could point the fact they were in an EM field

8.) Desmond can’t leave because something is keeping him in

9.) "God doesn't know how long we've been here. He can't see this island any better than the rest of the world can." like they are type of shield or cloaked area they are in

10.) This ones a little more abstract: Jacks tattoo on his left arm when translated means, “HAWK IN THE EXPANSIVE SKY"
"EAGLES HIGH UP CLEAVING THE SKY" which would kina point to the division that biosphere would make. and maby be evidence for someone or something looking down on them.

11.) Plus there's a polar bear in the jungle

Wow, that is really compelling evidence

You sure know your Lost ;)

Hmm most of the evidence points for to the EM field. The comic books don't compell me to think arctic. The two guys in the arctic? Its secluded and possibly NEAR the arctic. Def. if at all in the south pole so the polar bear is still only an escaped experiment.
ps the answer to the snowman question is "smells like carrots"

I know my links got messed up a bit so you might not have seen it but how does the picture of the dome in artic not convince you.

Some thing I left out they are a little weaker but here:

there has been snow globes a bunch of time in the show and there one or two in the hatch.

the scientist Hans O. discovered electromagnetism in 1820 and...
Hannes Alfvén: His contribution to science - mainly in the field of electromagnetism (and he studied something called "green flash" which is phenomena that happens at sunset and the name of the comic book was Lanterna Verde Flash or green flash; far fetched but any ways) when you put the EM forefathers names together you get Alfven Hanso which is the name of the head of the Hanso foundation.

Why would those two guys be looking for desmond in the artic or even at all after a couple of years being lost at sea he would be dead but Desmond’s Girlfriend is the daughter of a rich rich man and he might be Alfven Hanso (maybe) and early in the season finale he wanted Desmond out of her life so he bribed him but he turned him down. So, what he did was he had Desmond taken to the island (by the same means as the flight 815 was taken there but in his boat). Well, Desmond’s GF (aka Hanso daughter) found out and she got some info about what went down and some more info where he was at and how to find him. So, her being super rich too, she has these two guys sit in the artic and look for an EM explosion so then they can locate Desmond. It sound a bit far fetch right now but I guarantee that’s how it will come out.

"smells like carrots" as if its right under our nose... jk

"So, what he did was he had Desmond taken to the island (by the same means as the flight 815 was taken there but in his boat"

815 was a mistake as was shone in multiple episodes.

what do you mean mistake?

Angljc1 has me convinced, I believe angl's theory 100%,

they arent supposed to be on the island
thats the mistake

What are you talking about?

How has that been proven in many episodes?

finale especially showed how desmond screwed up and the em field pulled the plane in
youre making me feel like im completely wrong but im pretty sure that flight 815 isnt supposed to be there

that does not at all mean that it was a mistake. the first thing that comes to mind as evidence against that is hurley and his #'s and their connection with the island.
