yay! Broomball!
Sounds so much better in May than after 5 months of snow/ice. :)

Stanford

It wouldn’t hurt to take the SAT again, after prepping more, if you haven’t already taken it twice. They WILL ask to see all scores, but if you haven’t given it your ‘best shot’ including your second shot, you might want to do that.

You can’t ‘count’ on it, they had the lowest accept rate this year of anywhere, but you could make it, and it meets your requirements.

Oh, and if you love climate change (interesting turn of phrase…) you might want to look into UCSB. <a href=“Study finds climate change is causing modifications to marine life behavior”>http://phys.org/news/2013-08-ucsb-climate-modifications-marine-life.html</a> <a href=“Edhat | Local News From Your Community”>Edhat | Local News From Your Community; <a href=“UCSB Sustainability Internship Program | UCSB Sustainability”>http://www.sustainability.ucsb.edu/ucsb-sustainability-internship-program/</a> <a href=“Redirect Notice”>Redirect Notice;

I hate it when I can’t find the source I want within 15 minutes so I end up spamming with a bunch of less directly on point stuff before my answer is no longer editable.

When I read your post, Whitman immediately popped into my head. Very outdoorsy, laid-back, and LGBT friendly but also a really strong community. That could be an excellent match for you.

Grinnell, Oberlin, Lewis and Clark, and Beloit may also be worth looking into.

I have no idea what this broomball is… I’m intrigued. Pomona and Whitman keep popping up, I’ll have to look at them a little deeper.
Collegevetting, you rock that’s an awesome climate change program.
Looks like I’ve got a lot of research to do this weekend. Yay! (I don’t think I’ve ever said that in my life)

DEFINITELY look at the seven sisters women’s colleges. My D had very similar criteria to yours and the top 3 schools on her list ended up being Wellesley, Smith, and Mount Holyoke. I will say that Wellesley definitely has the more intense study culture. in our experience, Mount Holyoke has the most welcoming, friendly, non-competitive, supportive community of the three.

Interesting about brown, though I really do need to start cutting my 5 mile long list of reaches. MYOS1634 (let’s see if.I got that right without looking…) which enviro program were you pointing at? I interpreted it as Brown but I think I’m wrong.
I am for sure checking out the 7 sisters!
