So I am a bit lost and feeling down about what to do about transferring. I am currently looking to transfer to a 4-year university from a community college that's in South Carolina. I haven't done to hot due to my past but I have brought myself up tremendously. I just want some help to see what are my chances into getting into a school this coming fall semester. Before I go into everything I'd like to say I had a rough patch coming out of high school (graduated in 2010) with drugs and alcohol. I did about a a semester and a half before dropping out of my community college with a GPA of about 1.0. Got out and got my life straightened up. Actually been sober for about 2 years and since then started school about a year and a half ago and brought my GPA up to a 2.89. Now I'm looking to transfer to a four year school but don't know if I should wait or just go for it. Most likely I'll still try and transfer regardless but just want some advice.

The schools I am trying to transfer to are:

--- Clemson University
--- University of North Carolina Asheville
--- University of North Carolina Wilmington
--- College of Charleston

Here is all the information I think might be helpful for any advice, comments or such you can give:
1: I'm at community college right now. I have 35 credits with a GPA of 2.89.
2:I'm taking 17 more credits this semester.
3:I didn't due to well in high school either but I'm not sure if it matters for transferring to other schools.

I just wanted to know if you guys could give me help me out in any way. It would be very much appreciated. Just so you guys know my top choice is UNC-A. Thanks.
