Lot 7?

I'm living in Rieber Terrace this year and on my parking pass, my assigned parking lot is Lot 7. Looking at a map, it looks to me like Lot 7 is the parking lot across from Pauley Pavilion. So does that mean I'm suppose to roll all my stuff up not only BruinWalk but up THE Hill as well? If I change my parking pass to say... Lot 17 or 15... do you think I'll get away with it?

they're going to have trucks that will truck your stuff up to rieber court.

goto lot 7, unload onto carts, they put carts on trucks, you get on shuttles, both end up at rieber court, claim your cart(s) back, get key, move in.

Thanks for reminding me not to go anywhere near lot 7 for the next couple days. I forgot that all you guys are moving in and parking and oh god I'd be so angry if I had to deal with crazy move-in parking lot madness.

Oh that's a relief! Thanks VTECaddict! I was not looking forward to lugging all my crap up that hill.

lot 7 is actually pretty close to terrace......that's where I parked during orientation

I wish I had lot 7... I got SV.

I cant even find SV on the maps. Where is SV? I checked the black and white map, and I checked the colored map on UCLA site :(.

At the top left corner of the map (Northwest of Drake Stadium).

SV really isn't all that far away from the entrance of lot 7, btw. It's closer to the dorms.

I'm not living in the dorms. All of my courses are located in North Campus.

oh i thought you meant for move in.

And yeah, weve discussed this. But i think you'll be surprised by how fast it is to take young dr to janss. I'd argue that it takes the same or less time as it would on bruinwalk.

It's not bad at all. The shuttles do all the work. And those poor move in assistants... poor poor assistants.

I retract my earlier statement about lot 7 being a nightmare.

Because I'm a glutton for punishment and also a little bit stupid, I decided to venture out and use my brand new parking pass to see what was going on. One must understand how risky this undertaking was, as I only have 1 patient bone in my body and it's very small. I really was expecting lots of anger and traffic and hate and rage and bumper cars.

But it really wasn't all that bad. Those trucks are crazy. And I felt really bad for the MIAs for whatever reason. But the process seemed to be under control and I found a spot without murdering anyone so all in all it was a rousing success and I applaud housing services for being so damn smooth.

Shall see how bad it gets tomorrow, though.

I'm live off-campus, but all I got is SV. I really want Lot 7.

Didn't realize 7 was so popular. I'd have assumed 4 would've been more highly desired.

I don't mind either 7 and 4. I just don't like SV. :( SV is supposed for on-campus. I afraid I can't find parking in SV, cuz on-campus student can park overnight.

You'll find parking, swear. Honestly I've never, ever had problems finding a space in any lot at UCLA. Even lot 11 at night.

Do you know any shuttle from SV to south campus?

http://www.transportation.ucla.edu/maps/cemap/CEMAP.htm

that's the shuttle map

While 4 may be popular, lots 3 and 5 would be ideal for me. Right in the heart of North Campus.
