LOTS OF APs- plz help

Has anyone taken 10+ AP exams in one year? If so, how did you manage to do it?

bumpbumpbump

bbbbbbbbbbuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmpppppppppppp

I will this year. I have already started (almost done) will making notes for each subject.

what APs are you guys taking?? you must be doing some self studying...

10 is excessive - kind of defeats the purpose of living. Id think 8 per year is max and even that is crazy.

I am going to do 8-10 but really its like 7
Stats - I take a stats class so that is most of it
Calc - I am in a calc class
Physics elect/magnetism
and mechanics I am in a physics B class and we cover a lot
Computer science AB I am in an independent study class, done with the course already
Micro/macro - have had a business for the last 3 years, know a lot of the micro. Macro is really easy just some logic.
Environmental Science - Physics/chem/new events/bio mix
Bio- I get my friends notes, learning it later
History US - I am debating about it, depends on if I have time.

Just learn them early and well.

I could take 10.. but I'm taking 9 x_x

You can take as much as you want. If you're determined, AP wont bad at all :). Start prepping today!!

I think it's a better idea just to take a few college classes instead. Take a couple APs and some college classes. You get guaranteed credit and it's a little more managable. I'm taking 4 AP's and 2 college classes this year.

10 APs are very impressive to adcom. There was this CCer who got into Harvard with 15 APs

wow... to me just 10 APs is unfathomable. the most anyone has taken at my school is 7 in one year, and they never did any independent studying, and got into harvard and yale... so i don't think that 10 or even 9 APs are really necessary for getting into Harvard, but do what you like. If you have a passion, then do it. I don't do anything "just for college." IMHO, that's like showing off. it's not genuine.

-will

and Business_Freak, are you talking about 10 APs in one year or during an entire high school career??? same question for the guy who did 15....

since it fits in with the whole "impress colleges" sort of deal... let me tell you my personal, original motto...

If you can impress someone (or a college!) without trying to impress them, that in itself is impressive.

wow, that was meaningful but not practical, aspariguy. Try to back this with personal successes in the admission process :)

ha... well with all you realists, i need to bring in some idealism to balance it out ; )

That fact is you must do w/e you can to impress the college of your choice, like it or not. Thats life. I dont believe in "passion" I believe in marketing to "show passion" The latter works all the time :)

well if i were to guess which one of us knew best how to market anything, i'd look for someone with "Business" in their username.

oh my!!

=D

on second thought... maybe i should be Plato_Zealot or something!

Yeah, one can make any crappy EC sound impressive if he/she has the skills.
