Congratulations! Am I going to see you at Pomona's parent orientation in August?</p>
<p>Thanks so much to you all!!! I had a really hard time getting to sleep last night, I had dreams of colleges dancing in my head! </p>
<p>IDad, I had read in previous posts that you really like the Claremont consortium. It sounds extraordinary to me, too, so much to offer! Little Mother, I may soon be calling on you for help! </p>
<p>And Susan and SBmom, I would very much like to be able to write you about Brown. My son is especially interested in three areas: music, classics (and other languages) and religious studies. The one area where I am uncertain about Brown is music. I know they have an orchestra made up of an assorted crowd, so I think he might get to play (he's a percussionist) but I was a little concerned about the concentration. Does it have a history/theory component? Anyway, my son has plans to travel to Brown in April. It is the only school of his acceptances that he was not able to visit. And Southwest flies directly to Providence from Nashville, which is not too far from us. One of my D's best friends from h.s. is a senior at Brown and she's loved it!</p>
<p>To all of you, thanks so much for the support. I have so much gratitude in my heart right now.</p>
<p>And it is my 49th birthday today! (I'd been a little fearful it would be a tough day!) A very happy birthday after all! :) Next year I'll be middle aged!</p>
