Lots of Textbook Questions :)

1) For Chem 6AH, I found a textbook online with the same ISBM as that indicated by the professor. Should I buy it? I was wondering why this book (an international version) is so much cheaper even though according to the seller, the content is 100% the same.
Is it recommended to buy the solution manual?

2) For Math 20B (single variable calculus), should I order the textbook that includes multi-variable calculus as well? I will need to take Math 20C and 20D in the future, but I am asking this because I don't know if my Math 20C (and 20D) teachers will use the same textbook. Does anyone know anything about this?
The book is Calculus Early Transcendentals.
Also what does "*2 Single Variable Calculus (text+questionnaire), 9781429212373 <-- the number in front of the book title" mean? Is it recommended to buy the solution manual and questionnaire?

3) I am charged ~$80 for the bookstore reservation service. (books for my 2 freshman seminars). However, the book titles are not available on WebReg... do the professors only release this information to the bookstore so that we will not be able to purchase it online? I find $80 expensive for the purchase of two books for seminars... unless they are textbooks. Does anyone have experience ordering books for seminars?

Haha I have a lot of questions. Just trying to understand things. Any advice or help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks, have a terrific day. :)

International versions are much cheaper than the standard versions because they are made with a much lower quality. The pages are usually black and white, and the page numbers might be different. There’s nothing wrong with buying international textbooks, but you might have a hard time finding the right assignment pages.

If you are going to take Math 20C next quarter, then yes, you should probably invest in the more expensive version that includes multivariable calculus. Chances are, they’ll end up using the same book.

I have no experience with seminar books, but the two seminars that I registered for do not require any books of any sort. You should email the seminar professors, and see if they will give you the book names.
