are there colleges within USC? (like for UCSD and UCLA there are colleges within)

wow~ i know that was a lot of questions to answer.
thanks for all your help! :)

form-filling, eh? I’ll answer the ones that I can do off the top of my head, but I’m not going to do research for you.

are there any metropolitan centers near USC?

USC is about a mile from the heart of Los Angeles. You don’t get more metropolitan than this.

what are things the town and surrounding communities offer? (i.e. good restaurants, movies, clubs)

Really close to campus, there’s not much “high-class” stuff. But you’re only a mile from the heart of LA, with all that entails.

what entertainment does the campus offer?

Whatever you can find. Movie screenings, theater shows, “street” performers, lots of bands at big events and small, art shows, acapella singers, and of course, sporting events.

what are the placement statistics into grad school (where do undergrads get into, how much help do they get in getting into top grad schools, does USC take its own undergrads)

what are the placement statistics into jobs/internships as a 4-year grad? will USC help its students get an internship?

how successful are USC’s grads in the real world?

There are USC grads at the top levels of their fields in just about every field. Of course, how you define “success” is also relevant.

does USC have a placement center for either International Relations or Biology?

What do you mean by a placement center?

what is the placement rate for I/R and Biology into grad schools?

are there any I/R and/or Biology professors who have received honors and awards?

Yes, of course. Which ones and which honors? I couldn’t tell you.

is there a support system for graduates?

The legendary Trojan Family.

are there any possibilities of classes and exchanges with nearby colleges?

There’s no exchange program with nearby colleges, as far as I know. There is, however, a well developed international exchange program.

are there any opportunities in related majors to I/R and Biology?

what is housing like at USC? what are all the different housing possibilities and what makes them different?

All freshman live on-campus (unless you’re a commuter student) in dorms or suite-style housing. There’s the traditional two person to a room dorms, the suites are 8 people in 4 room with a common room and two bathrooms, and there are also some triples, with three people in two connected dorm rooms. After freshman year, USC offers university owned and managed housing, mostly apartments. These ranges from singles to shared 8-person arrangements.

are there colleges within USC? (like for UCSD and UCLA there are colleges within)

Yes. Viterbi School of Engineering, Marshall School of Business, Keck School of Medicine, the School of Cinematic Arts, and a whole bunch more that I can’t remember at the moment.

you really should wikipedia USC, and then also access the usc website and read there, im sure most of this kind of info is under the student life section and stuff :)

as for your questions i dont want to say too much as i am just transferring there now, and will start in the fall :)

good luck!
