Love econ, not math

Hey all,
I am student who is technically an econ major, but pretty unsure about life in general. I always got A's or high B's in math in high school, but I hated it because of the teachers and probably its difficulty, and I never took calc. I now really regret that, especially because I took my first microecon class and fell in love. I'm going to retake pre-cal (doesnt count for college credit) next semester, and as an honors student at IU that feels like a failure, especially for an econ major. Do you think the fact that I won't take math til sophomore year (Three req'd classes + precal, taking one this summer) will hinder me in econ, and that I wont be able to do it? Everyone I have talked to in Econ loves math. I don't love math (maybe not yet) but I got 100 on my last micro test, and its my favorite subject. I go to a huge state school and literally cannot think of any major I want to do, regardless of what the job outlook looks like. Should I just try something else, or will my lack of math skills seriously hinder me? Just for reference, I think I got a 530 on SAT math and 25 on ACT math. Not so hot.
