Love science, bad french idea?

Today I went to a college information session and they were saying that not taking a foreign language for four years is bad for your chances to get into top colleges. I would really like to drop my french and take science instead because I would like to go into the medical field. I took french I in 8th gradeand up to french IV as a junior. IS this a bad idea? And my elective is being taken up by a social sciences(psychology) so will brown look at me in a worse light if I drop french for more science? Thanks!

If you have taken French IV, you have four years of a foreign language. You don't need to take French V, at least according to the college counselor at my son's private school which sends alot of kids to competitive schools including Brown. So you should feel safe taking a science elective senior year.

Thanks! .

A lot !
